The modern and revamped chapel is light, airy, and comfortable, and is equipped with solid English oak furniture throughout. It also features fittings of high-quality Ashburton Marble.
There is seating capacity for around 120 people, with room for another 50 to stand.
If more space is needed, there is also a public address system that operates in the cloisters at the chapel entrance. Services are relayed to the cloisters on video too, on a large plasma display panel.
Entrances and exits to the chapel are fully ramped, allowing easy access for the less mobile. Dedicated spaces are offered to wheelchair users, and an inductive loop system is in operation to assist hearing aid users.
For a fee, we are also able to:
- broadcast services live over the internet
- offer video recordings of services
- arrange for visual tributes to be shown in the chapel during a funeral service

Recent upgrades to the chapel include:
- new carpets
- lowering the catafalque to ease the burden on bearers
- replacing the organ with a new digital model
- installation of an air-cooling system for use in the summer
We welcome funerals from people of all denominations and beliefs. On request, the wooden cross at the front of the chapel can be removed.
