There are several different types of service available to you.
Chapel only
These services are held where families choose to utilise the crematorium chapel for a dedicated service prior to a burial service taking place at a nearby cemetery.
The main differences are that the coffin will be positioned in the front of the chapel for the duration of the service and not on the catafalque. The curtains will remain closed for the full service and normal music and visual tributes are available as normal.
Direct cremation
This service is an unattended service where the deceased is brought to the crematorium by the families chosen funeral director.
A selected piece of music is played while the deceased is brought through the aisle to the catafalque. The curtain is then closed and the piece of music ends bringing the service to a close.
This type of service can be catered for at the crematorium with the added benefit of families choosing a local and trusted funeral director to conduct the service throughout.
Standard cremation
A standard cremation service is our main service type.
Each service slot is an hour long, we recommend an actual in chapel service time of 45 minutes. Additional time slots are available if necessary.
Each service includes music of the family’s choice along with a photograph that can be displayed on our chapel screens. There are several additional extra’s that can be chosen, and these have associated fees.
The music and visual tributes can be added to the service with the assistance of your funeral director.
At the end of the service the curtain at the front of the chapel can be closed to signify the committal of the deceased to be cremated.
Families may wish for the curtain to remain open, and this is perfectly acceptable. Your choice in shaping the service that best fits your loved one is of the utmost importance.
